When did you enter the ministry?
Although being a pastor is a second career for me, I’ve always considered myself to be in the ministry. I felt that being an educator in the Montgomery County Public School system for over 35 years was a ministry. I retired from the school system in 2004 and became a licensed Disciples of Christ minister in the Region of Virginia in 2005.
How long have you been at this church?
In August 2018, I will have served twelve years as pastor of this church.
Have you read any good books lately?
Three books I’m currently reading are:
Learning to Walk in the Dark by Barbara Brown Taylor
Grounded – Finding God in the World by Diana Butler Bass
Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore
Is there a place that has changed your life?
Working with young people at Craig Springs Retreat Center as a counselor over the years has definitely changed my life.
Do you have a life philosophy?
When things come at you, do your part right.
